Bang Bang !!

There are so many fireworks going off round here that I am amazed that the girls have not woken up.

After our hike up to the top of the zoo yesterday I have aching legs, obviously I am very unfit and in dire need of some serious exercise!

Jen's Journey My sisters blog that she has just created, go on take a peek!! It is looking pretty good Jen and I look forward to reading it.

I have been playing with my Dad's digital SLR lately and this is a photo I captured of Lauren this morning. I know I've mentioned how photogenic she is before - but she really is!!

Zoo Balloo

We spent much of yesterday at Belfast Zoo. It has been 3 years since we were last there and I am pleased to say the Zoo seems to have improved, if only slightly. Lauren had a blast and Amy, well I'm not so sure. Being vertically challenged she didn't get to see too much!! I always feel slightly uncomfortable watching animals that are clearly disturbed and miserable, however I am pleased to say that on this occasion the vast majority appeared happy in their surroundings and the chimps even managed to put on an amusing display for us.

Amy was clearly thrilled to be allowed out of her buggy and on to a swing!!

Birthday Wishes...

...To Roy today. Love you lots xoxox He won't thank me for posting this picture but as he doesn't read this he won't be any the wiser.

I have found the most adorable little Japanese friendship dolls, they are incrediably dinky and there seems to be a doll for every occasion. Have a look, they are called .Momiji Dolls

It's the start of half term today which means that Lauren is off nursery school for a whole week!! I will have to get my thinking cap on to find lots of things to keep her busy!

We are off out tonight to visit friends. Looking forward to it.

How We Used to Live

We spent a lovely afternoon at the Folk Museum on Saturday. It is the first time Roy and I have been there for about 10 years. The weather was kind and we slowly wandered round all the little houses and trying to imagine "how they used to live". (I seem to remember that being the name of an educational programme we watched in primary school). I have come to the conclusion that I would not have survived such living conditions!!

I thought I would leave you today with a picture of Amy in a happier moment:

Grumpy...

I seem to be seeing a lot of this face at the moment.....my daughter Amy, aged 13 months. My normally happy go lucky baby has turned into a very cross, grumpy baby - I can only attribute it to the fact that she has 2 back teeth negotiating their way through red swollen gums. I can't really complain though because to date neither she nor I have had a disturbed nights sleep because of it!

On the subject of teeth.......my sister is having 2 wisdom teeth removed today.....ouch! Wishing you a speedy recovery Jen. :)

Card Factory

Well that's what it seems like I am working in anyway!! Hubby is having a Christmas Fayre in Nov. to raise money for his B.B. Company and I offered to make some cards. Some, has now turned into 150+ and so far I have made the grand total of.....18!! Something tells me I am going to have to get a move on. The above is my latest edition to the ever growing stock!

This Girl Has Attitude

This is my 4 year old daughter who seems to have developed a passion for "posing" infront of the lens. I was snapping a few photos today to include in a shoebox for,
Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child, and this was one of the many poses captured. Don't you just love the way kids are so carefree and with no inhibitions?

Today was our Harvest Service in Church, such an array of colours and smells met us as we entered the door, reminding us in the words of a song by Chris Tomlin, "How Great is our God"!
